Details of James Harden to Clippers Trade Revealed
Around a half hour after he announced that the LA Clippers were acquiring James Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski revealed the trade details in a series of Tweets that read the following:
"(1) The Sixers are acquiring Marcus Morris, Nic Batum, Robert Covington, KJ Martin, multiple draft picks and a pick swap for James Harden, PJ Tucker and Filip Petrusev, sources tell ESPN. (2) The Clippers are sending the Sixers a 2028 unprotected first-round pick, two second-round picks and a pick swap, sources tell ESPN. The Clippers are also routing the 76ers an additional future first-round pick from a third team. (3) The 76ers are waiving veteran guard Danny Green, sources tell ESPN. Philadelphia needed the roster spot to complete the trade with the Clippers."
These are the current details of the trade that sends Harden to the Clippers, which at first glance looks like everyone got close to what they were hoping for. While the 76ers did not get Terance Mann, who they were reportedly after, they got multiple expiring contracts and draft picks that can be used in additional trades. KJ Martin is also an intriguing young player that could contribute down the line or be included in another deal.
More details could come out, but for now this is what's public on the James Harden to LA Clippers trade.
