LA Clippers star Russell Westbrook has sacrificed quite a bit this season. While Westbrook's move to the bench has been his most notable sacrifice, it goes just a lineup change, as the former MVP went from 30.7 minutes per game as a starter, to just 22.6 as a reserve.

During a recent episode of ShowTime Basketball's Bully Ball show, former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins shared a strong message for Westbrook, letting him know his peers see what he is doing.

"I just don’t feel like Russ gets the credit he deserves for being the teammate that he is, the sacrifices that he continuously makes when it comes to trying to win and being in a winning situation," Cousins said. "For some reason all his highlights are his negatives, which is unfair to him, because there is so much more that goes into the game besides making shots or shooting percentages. Credit to Russ, continue to be the professional you are, your peers know who you are as a person, your peers know what type of competitor you are. We know how much you care about winning. We know what you put into this game. Credit to Russ. Love bro forever, just keep your head up and keep pushing, we know you will... It’s just a matter of time before the rest of world catches up and credits this guy for what he’s done."

This was a heartfelt message from Cousins, who wants to see Westbrook get the credit he deserves.
