Russell Westbrook has been helping lead Terance Mann since joining the LA Clippers, and the two have developed chemistry on and off the court. With both players using their energy and effort to dominate the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night, Westbrook was asked about Mann after the game.

"I always tell him that nobody should be on the court playing harder than you," Westbrook said of Mann. "That's something I tell myself when I'm on the floor, and I tell him the same thing. People are gonna miss shots, but one thing about it is you can never take away how hard somebody plays. Terance has the ability to be able to do that every night, and that's what I challenge him to do."

That energy and effort is often what separates Mann from others on the court, and it's something Westbrook has been doing his entire career. As Westbrook said, there are going to be games where shots aren't falling, but nobody can take away a player's effort.

Mann has struggled to shoot the ball so far this season, currently converting on just 13.6% of his three-point attempts, but he is able to impact the game in different ways because of his energy and other intangibles. Recognizing this, Westbrook challenges Mann to bring that intensity every single night, the same way Westbrook challenges himself to do the same.
