Injury Report: Paul George's Game 3 Status vs. Suns
NBA fans are eagerly awaiting the day Paul George will return for the Clippers in the highly anticipated playoff matchup against the Phoenix Suns. Unfortunately, today won't be that day.
The LA Clippers have officially listed Paul George as out with a knee sprain for Game 3 against the Phoenix Suns. George is already past the two-week mark when it comes to his injury recovery timeline, and it's hard to predict when his return would be. It's been both reported and told to AllClippers that George is unlikely to return in the first round against the Phoenix Suns, despite the footage of him working out looking so promising.
Unfortunately for the LA Clippers, they'll continue to face the loaded Phoenix Suns roster without Paul George. Despite being shorthanded, the Clippers have found a way to steal home court with a 1-1 record and nearly entered LA with a 2-0 record. The starting lineup of the Suns clearly surpasses the Clippers, but the Clippers need to find a way to perform better offensively.
In Game 2, the Phoenix Suns starters scored 110 of the team's 123 points, on roughly 60% efficiency. For the Clippers, everyone not named Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook only scored 15 out of 44 field goals. For how shorthanded the Clippers are, that's absolutely not going to cut it and needs to change in Game 3.
