Lakers head coach Darvin Ham had some nice words for LA Clippers guard Russell Westbrook when asked about the former MVP before Wednesday night's game, saying, "I expect him to be highly competitive and tenacious. All of the things that made me and fan and cause me to still be a fan... Unfortunate it didn't work out, but I applaud him, I appreciate him, I respect him for what he tried to do for me in particular as a head coach in terms of the sacrificing and believing in the re-alignment... I wish him nothing but the best."

Westbrook was not made available for postgame media after defeating the Lakers on Wednesday night, but the veteran point guard did speak to reporters at practice on Friday morning. When asked about Ham's comments, as well as their time together, Westbrook kept things short, saying, "It was an experience. I'm past it now, in a new place, and looking forward."

Westbrook has understandably kept things short whenever asked anything about the Lakers. His fit with the Clippers has been great so far, and there is not much reason to reflect back on a situation that didn't work out. Focused on helping the Clippers make a deep playoff run, Westbrook has moved beyond his time with the Lakers, and is looking forward to what is ahead of him.
