The LA Clippers have been one of the most consistent franchises over the last decade, yet they still remain without a championship. Star forward Paul George is also without a championship, unlike his running mate Kawhi Leonard, and George believes it would be "legacy defining" to bring that first championship to the Clippers organization.

In a recent interview with GQ Sports, George said, "A championship with the Clippers 100% will outweigh a championship being with the Lakers." Understanding the basketball dynamics on Los Angeles, having grown up in the area, George knows what a Clippers championship would mean. The Lakers have won titles in every era, but the Clippers have remained ringless since their original inception in Buffalo.

The closest the Clippers have come to a championship was in 2021 when they fell two wins short of reaching their first NBA Finals. George was the lead star in the team's first Western Conference Finals appearance, as Kawhi Leonard was sidelined with an ACL tear.

Having fallen short multiple times with the Clippers now, George is ready to deliver this organization their first title in franchise history. It will not be easy, especially with the Western Conference getting even tougher at the trade deadline, but George knows what a championship would mean to this franchise and fanbase.

Admitting before the season that he does not have many chances left at competing for a title, George is locked in on making it happen.
