James Harden Reveals Honest Thoughts on OKC Thunder

James Harden had high praise for the Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder may be one of the youngest teams in the league, but they're already one of the best. One former Thunder player had some high praise for the team after facing them on Thursday night.

After the Clippers faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, James Harden revealed his candid thoughts on the new young squad featuring Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren.

"It reminds me of when I was here, the beginning of the Thunder Up days. And it’s beautiful," Harden said. "It’s been a long time as far as the rebuilding process but I think it’s exciting and these fans deserve some good basketball."

James Harden has not been a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder since the 2011-12 NBA season, but he was there for the franchise's only trip to the NBA Finals. In Harden's last season with the Thunder, he averaged 16.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 49/39/85 shooting. It may feel like James Harden has been a long-tenured member of the Oklahoma City Thunder, but he was actually on the team for only three seasons. He spent almost as much as time on the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets.

The original thunder-trio of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and James Harden never achieved the ultimate goal of an NBA Championship. Will their new trio accomplish what they couldn't?
