During an appearance on NBA Today, ESPN's Ramona Shelburne revealed that James Harden has a new plan to escalate his tactics in an attempt to get traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the LA Clippers.

"This is an escalation in tactics," Shelburne said of Harden's latest absence from 76ers' team activities. "This is, 'I am not happy.' Somebody close to [Harden] told me, this is only the beginning of what he plans to do here. This is only the beginning of what he plans to do here."

As Shelburne explained, Harden has been a mostly professional participant in 76ers training camp up until recently, since he believed a trade to the Clippers was close, and remaining professional was the best path to seeing that through. Now with growing frustration because of the distance between Philadelphia and LA on an agreement, Harden's new plan is reportedly to escalate his tactics - with this latest absence being just the beginning of what he plans to do.

Shelburne added, "[Harden] is very upset. He continues to be very frustrated that the Sixers have not made any progress towards trading him to the Los Angeles Clippers. A source close to him basically said, 'Don’t mistake his kindness for weakness. He is a guy who has shown up, tried to be professional throughout this, but that was only to give them time to negotiate a trade.'"

What exactly Harden does next remains to be seen, but Shelburne has now revealed that his new plan is to escalate his tactics amid stalled trade talks between the Clippers and 76ers.
