Kawhi Leonard and James Harden Make History in Lakers vs Clippers
The LA Clippers had a blistering offense against the Lakers on Tuesday night. It felt like the team was incapable of missing a shot, but it turns out, the Clippers actually made history throughout the night.
According to StatMamba, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden became the first pair of teammates in Clippers history to each put up 20 points and 10 assists.
Kawhi Leonard put up 25 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block on 69% shooting. It was only the second triple-double of his career and an incredibly efficient one at that. James Harden put up 23 points, 10 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block on 47% shooting. He started the game incredibly hot, but really cooled off in the fourth quarter.
As a team, the Clippers fascinatingly shot 59/52/75 from the field, but somehow couldn't put the Lakers away until the very end of the game. After the game, Clippers head coach Ty Lue revealed that he believed the team didn't come out with the right mentality once they learned LeBron James would be out. With the way Lue and certain players were talking post-game, one would think that the Clippers lost to the Lakers on Tuesday night.
The LA Clippers have won 20 out of their last 24 basketball games, and it's because of the balanced effort of their starting lineup
