LA Clippers head coach Ty Lue recently named versatile guard Terance Mann the team's 5th starter next to Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Ivica Zubac. While Mann is currently sidelined with an ankle sprain, he is expected to start once healthy.

When asked about Mann being in the staring lineup, Leonard told reporters on Tuesday, "We've seen it before what he can bring to the starting unit. He did a great job last year filling that point guard role, just being in that starting lineup. And the same thing is expected from him, to come in and play defense, knock down shots, and just be aggressive and confident throughout the whole entire game."

Mann has the support of his teammates, and is trusted by the team's veterans. This will be a great opportunity for Mann after his role fluctuated quite a bit last season. It's very unfortunate that Mann suffered an ankle sprain just days before he was set to start on opening night, but Ty Lue said Mann is currently day to day, so the hope is that he will not have to miss any extended time with this injury.

The Clippers have dealt with several injuries over the last few seasons, but Mann has been one of their most durable players. The team certainly wants him back as soon as possible.
