With Kawhi Leonard returning from an ACL injury to start last season, the LA Clippers were very excited about what his return would mean for the team. While Leonard was healthy and available on opening night, that lasted just two games before the star forward was sidelined for weeks with swelling in that surgically repaired knee.

Speaking with reporters prior to practice on Saturday, Leonard explained the different energy the Clippers have to start this season, and how his overall health level is one of the big reasons why.

"We know what we are capable of, and I feel like me feeling a lot better than I was coming into training camp last year just brings a better energy," Leonard said. "Just me overall feeling better, trusting myself, and I'm able to show it more than say it. Last year I was trying to get into things a little bit slow just because of the feeling I was feeling in my knee, but I feel good. Them being able to see me move around and be agile like I used to, it kinda brings that energy."

Leonard understands that in many ways the Clippers go as he goes, so with him being healthy to start the season, it's adding a major boost of positive energy that the team didn't quite have to begin last season.
