The NBA has been cracking down on flopping violations this season, handing out fines whenever they catch a player flopping. These violations can be given out during games or after games when the league reviews each play. Following Sunday night's game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and LA Clippers, forward Kyle Anderson was fined $2,000 for flopping.

As previously mentioned, the NBA has been trying their best to limit flops by handing out fines like this one. There are of course still flops that are missed in real time and upon review, but the league has been somewhat consistent in making sure they address as many flopping violations as they can.

The Clippers fell to the Timberwolves on Sunday night, as they were unable to overcome the late scratch of starting center Ivica Zubac. Up against a big front court of Karl Anthony-Towns and Rudy Gobert, the Clippers were undersized without Zubac.

Minnesota remains the best team in the Western Conference, as they continue to hold off the teams in pursuit of their top spot. The Clippers are one of those teams, but fell a game further behind Minnesota with their loss on Sunday. The Western Conference standings will likely go down to the wire, as they always do, which makes these head to head matchups between teams like LA and Minnesota very important.
