During a recent appearance on NBA Today, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that the LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers have not spoken about a James Harden trade since Philadelphia decided to end those discussions several weeks ago.

"Right now, there have been no conversations between the Sixers and the Clippers since the day, a month ago, when we reported that those trade talks were over. Philly called the Clippers that day and said, 'We're holding onto him.' They haven’t spoken since."

ESPN's Zach Lowe added that he believes the Clippers and 76ers will reengage on a Harden trade at some point, but as of right now the two sides are not talking. With training camp just two weeks away, the clock may be ticking for the 76ers, especially if Harden plans to cause issues if still on their roster when camp begins. For the Clippers, they also have to deal with the possibility of bringing players into camp that would be included in a potential Harden deal.

There are several different ways this situation could go, and it's truly hard to predict. It seems the Clippers were interested in acquiring Harden, but not at the asking price Philadelphia was maintaining. Will that price come down as the 76ers feel more pressure? That's one of the unpredictable elements of this situation. As of right now, there's no new movement.
