NBA Legend Blasts ESPN For Russell Westbrook Ranking

Russell Westbrook was 94th on the list.

Ever since Russell Westbrook joined the Lakers, analysts around the league have started to lower their ranking of him. So much so, that ESPN barely put him as a top-100 player this season. Former Clipper and NBA All-Star Kenyon Martin Sr. didn't take too kindly to that ranking.

On an episode of the Gil's Arena, Kenyon Martin Sr. absolutely blasted ESPN for ranking Russell Westbrook at number 94 in the NBA.

“Show me f***ing 93 other people better than Russell Westbrook in the NBA," Martin said. "You got two people on the list that ain’t played one f***ing NBA minute. How the f**k are they better than Russ? You f***ing idiots over there doing this bulls**t.”

For what it's worth, Russell Westbrook has certainly become underrated since joining the Los Angeles Lakers. His stint on the team seems to have destroyed the proper criticism that he should receive and just gives him copious amounts of hate. In last year's playoffs, Westbrook averaged 23.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.4 blocks, on 41/36/88 shooting. He absolutely carried the Clippers on his back when both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George went down, giving them a fighting chance against a stacked Phoenix Suns squad.

Despite the valiant effort that Westbrook put up in the NBA Playoffs, it doesn't seem like he'll be rewarded in the rankings.
