Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook have a complicated history. The two held one of the most contentious player rivalries for several seasons when they were opponents, but now consider each other close friends after spending time together on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Having both been traded from the Lakers ahead of the deadline, Beverley and Westbrook each completed buyouts with their new teams, and have decided to sign in new spots. For Beverley, he will be headed to the Chicago Bulls, and for Westbrook, he will be staying in Los Angeles with the LA Clippers.

On a recent episode of his podcast, Beverley reacted to the Westbrook news, saying, "I texted him as soon as I heard [the news], he texted me right back. I said, 'Man, you're gonna love it there. You're gonna love it there, man. You're gonna love it there.'" When asked what Westbrook will love about the Clippers, Beverley said, "The detail of the organization, the detail of game planning, the detail of preparation... I think he'll appreciate that."

After holding so much animosity for years, it has been cool to see Beverley and Westbrook form a friendship in this way. The two players had a hostile relationship on the court for so long, but now consider each other great friends. According to Beverley, Westbrook is going to love it with the Clippers.
