Every Western Conference first round playoff series has a stretch of multiple days off before Game 4, except Clippers vs. Suns. LA and Phoenix will play every other day through the first four games, and will be the only two teams in the West to do so.

When asked about this on his podcast, LA Clippers star Paul George said, "It's bulls--t. It’s bulls--t. The league's been f--king us up for a while. They've been f--king us up for a while. Nah, I mean it’s tough for us in the past couple of years where we've had a tough schedule, playing the most games going into All-Star break. like we've just had years of tough schedules. With all of it, I think if we just look at it like let’s just f--king take care of business, we'll get the most rest out of this, get ready. Hopefully see where I'm at, maybe I'll be good."

Having played a record number of games before the All-Star break, the Clippers have been given an odd schedule this season. According to George, this is an issue that has been going on for a while now, but the team remains focused on taking care of their own business. If the Clippers can advance beyond the first round, it would give George a much better chance to return from his knee injury.
