Paul George Calls Young Player an NBA Superstar
The Minnesota Timberwolves are the number-one team in the Western Conference right now, and it's not by accident. The Wolves' young star Anthony Edwards has taken that leap into superstardom this season, and Paul George agrees.
In the newest episode of Podcast P, Paul George revealed that he believes Anthony Edwards has become a superstar this season.
"He's taken that jump, he's taken it to the next level," Paul George said. "He's a superstar. I think it's safe to say and comfortable to put him in that superstar category now. He's doing it, he's walking the walk, he's talking the talk."
There was one moment in particular that George loved from Anthony Edwards this season, and it was against the Boston Celtics. Specifically, when Jayson Tatum tried to take Edwards one-on-one.
"I loved watching him against that Celtics game. Jayson Tatum calls Edwards up for the ISO, Anthony Edwards gets the stop, gets the steal, comes down, gets the bucket," George said. "The comment behind that was like, 'I don't know why he called me up, I like playing defense.' He's been everything over there."
It seems pretty clear that Anthony Edwards is one of the most confident players in the NBA, if not the most confident. Paul George can see that confidence oozing from Edwards and loves every bit of it.
"I think it's another level of confidence."
