LA Clippers star Paul George has not yet won a championship, but he and his teammates are focused on winning one this season. George was asked during Saturday's All-Star media availability what player he would like to see win a championship besides himself, and George said Russell Westbrook.

"Probably Russ," George said. "Russ, just as much as he has been through - they paint the picture of him. He is absolutely one of the best dudes, best people in the league. It would be nice to see him get that ring."

These comments from George come shortly after he campaigned for Westbrook to join the Clippers, should he reach a buyout agreement with the Utah Jazz. Teammates with the OKC Thunder, George and Westbrook have a close relationship, and could potentially end up as teammates again with the LA Clippers.

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are expected to meet with Westbrook some time this week to discuss the possibility of him joining the Clippers, so it seems as if there is a real mutual interest between the two sides, should a buyout be agreed upon with Westbrook and the Jazz.

After being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers, Westbrook has been given permission from Utah to talk with other teams, and is expected to do that during the All-Star break. For now, it is clear that George would like his former teammate to rejoin him in Los Angeles.
