Paul George Gets Honest About First 10 Games With James Harden
It feels like it's been an eternity, but James Harden has only played in 10 games with the LA Clippers. His tenure with the team has barely started, but it's already had extreme highs and extreme lows, with his teammates still learning about playing with him.
After the Clippers defeated the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night, Paul George asked what he's learned from in 10 games of playing with James Harden. George's answer to the question was very in-depth and thorough.
"What we don't know yet, is just what we haven't done yet, is just the consistency part, especially against the good teams. But there's nothing that surprises me or wows me with having James [Harden] here. I knew how good he was, I knew what he was capable of, and I knew how he's gonna help us plus more. There really has not been a factor of what stood out. It's just, his ability to play make is top tier, with his ability to make shots, clutch moments, and just go along with how Russ [Russell Westbrook] is orchestrating offense, James [Harden] has his way about it offensively as well. It's great to just have to constantly have that type of floor general on the floor at all times, whether it's James [Harden] or Russ [Russell Westbrook], those two playing off of each other going forward will help us a lot."
In 10 games, the LA Clippers have gone 4-6 with James Harden. Their six losses are against the: New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, Denver Nuggets, and New Orleans Pelicans. Their four wins are against the: Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio Spurs, and Dallas Mavericks. It's very worth noting that the Clippers are 0-5 with their original James Harden / Russell Westbrook starting lineup and 4-1 with their new lineup.
These past few games have been great tests for the James Harden Clippers. The team narrowly lost to a Pelicans team they should have beaten, demolished the Dallas Mavericks, and now have the defending champion Denver Nuggets awaiting them.
