Paul George Makes Bold Statement About Lakers and Clippers Fans

Very few fanbases have as much competitive banter between each other as Lakers and Clippers fans. In the grand scheme of things, Lakers fans always win the battle with their championships. In the smaller scheme of things, the Clippers have dominated the Lakers for the past decade.
Paul George wants to help Clippers fans in their one-sided battle.
In an interview with Natasha Dye of People, Paul George revealed one of his goals is to help give loyal Clippers fans some ammunition toward Lakers fans.
"Those fans that have stayed and are by our side, those are the ones I want to give back to," George said. "At least give them an opportunity to go at Lakers fans with some sort of trash talk."
Make no mistake, Paul George isn't delusional about the landscape of LA basketball. He's very aware that the Lakers are the dominant team in the city, but he just wants to give the Clippers a fighting chance.
"At the end of the day, both of us are represented in L.A. and the Lakers have been successful," George said. "They have had winning coaches through championships, but that's something that we're trying to build with the Clippers."
In the past decade, the Clippers have had their chances at becoming the new face of LA. That moment honestly passed after Lob City failed to get the job done. Everything that the LA Clippers were hoping to accomplish, is basically what the Golden State Warriors actually did in the last decade. That's the imprint the Clippers were hoping and should have made.
