Paul George Makes History vs Charlotte Hornets

Paul George entered an elite club.

The LA Clippers finally got back into the winning column on Tuesday night against the Charlotte Hornets, and Paul George made a bit of history in the process.

On Tuesday night, Paul George became one of 11 active NBA players with at least 17,000 points as he reached the 17,000 points club.

George struggled for most of the night against the Charlotte Hornets, but he still shot well from three - putting up 5/11 from deep. What matters most is that George hit the shot to seal the game and put the Clippers up 11 points.

LA had been struggling to win without Kawhi Leonard in their starting lineup, losing to both the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Boston Celtics in back-to-back games. Granted, neither team was easy competition, but the Clippers still have a very deep roster to win without Kawhi Leonard.

One would have expected them to blow out the shorthanded Charlotte Hornets, but the game remained close throughout the whole night. At one point, Charlotte even took a seven-point lead in the fourth quarter. From that moment on, the Clippers rallied a 17-0 run to regain the momentum and didn't look back.

The LA Clippers now have an 18-12 record, which puts them ahead of the Dallas Mavericks for the 4th seed. Up next for LA, the Memphis Grizzlies.
