Paul George Reveals Why He's A San Diego Padres Fan
Most people assume that every NBA player in Los Angeles is automatically a Dodgers fan, well, that's not the case for Paul George.
During All-Star weekend, Paul George was asked about being a San Diego Padres fan, and he publicly gave the team his fandom and support.
"The Padres embraced me," George said. "Yeah, they embraced me. They took me in."
The interviewer couldn't believe that George was genuinely a fan of the Padres, so he doubled down and asked if they were just clout chasing by welcoming him. Paul George immediately shot it down and said it was genuine love between both parties.
"Nah, they're not clout chasing," Geoge stated. "Yeah, they embraced me. Took me in, and you know, I did the whole oath. I'm down on the oath... I like the team. I wasn't a big baseball fan going into it, so I was a free agent. They picked me up, and I'm down with them ever since."
Both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have attended San Diego Padres games together in the past, and Kawhi has a house in San Diego. Kawhi Leonard even threw out the first pitch for the San Diego Padres back in 2013.
It's a love that definitely goes deep for Kawhi Leonard, that clearly has affected Paul George. Now, both Clippers superstars are officially San Diego Padres fans.
