Paul George Suffers Injury During Clippers vs Kings
The LA Clippers went 22 games this season without having a single injury to Kawhi Leonard or Paul George. That streak was broken on Tuesday night against the Sacramento Kings.
The Clippers revealed that Paul George missed the second half of the game due to left groin soreness. There was no specific moment that ignited the injury nor is the severity known of it right now, but it was bad enough to keep him out of the second half of the game.
Fortunately for the Clippers, they had a 29-point lead against the Sacramento Kings and continued to have a 27-point one at the time of this piece being written.
In terms of timing, it's a tough week for Paul George to be getting an injury. The LA Clippers are currently in the midst of a very rough stretch where they play four games in six nights against the: Portland Trail Blazer, Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and New York Knicks. After that comes an even harder week against the: Indiana Pacers, Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Boston Celtics. It would be incredibly beneficial if Paul George could return during that second week for the Clippers since this first one is already halfway done.
After struggling earlier in the season, the Clippers had just started figuring out how to play Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and James Harden together. Hopefully, this injury doesn't set the team too far back while they've been on a fantastic winning streak.
