Phoenix Suns Give Injury Updates to Key Players Before Game 1 vs Clippers

Cam Payne and Bismack Biyombo suffered injuries during the regular sesason.

During the final days of the regular season, two key members of the Phoenix Suns roster suffered injuries - Cam Payne and Bismack Biyombo.

Payne suffered a back injury and did not play in play in the April 9 regular-season finale, and neither did Bismack Biyombo due to a knee injury. There's been no update on whether either play will play in Game 1 against the LA Clippers, but Monty Williams did offer some updates.

Bismack Biyombo was on the court with a knee sleeve, and Cam Payne has been working in the weight room. In all honesty, neither injury sounds significant enough for either play to miss real-time in this pivotal matchup against the LA Clippers.

The LA Clippers need all the help they can get in this series against the Phoenix Suns. Not only does Phoenix boasts the most stacked starting five unit in the NBA, but the Clippers are going to be very undermanned without Paul George. Playing without Paul George means that a plethora of players will need to step up for the Clippers, from Norman Powell, to Kawhi Leonard, to Russell Westbrook, to Terance Mann. It's going to be a collective effort for the LA Clippers to win any playoff games without Paul George.

The LA Clippers and Phoenix Suns face off in Game 1 at 5:00 pm PST on Sunday, April 16.
