LA Clippers star Russell Westbrook volunteered to come off the bench following the team's six-game losing streak, per head coach Ty Lue. Speaking with the media prior to LA's win over the Houston Rockets on Friday, Lue called Westbrook's decision the ultimate sacrifice for a player of his caliber.

"He said he wanted to come off the bench," Lue said of Westbrook. "Whatever it takes to win… When he first came here, he was all about winning a championship and doing whatever it takes to win."

Speaking with reporters following LA's win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, Westbrook broke his silence on the move, saying he is ready to do whatever the team needs, and is only focused on winning games.

"Just going out and doing whatever is best for our team to be able to win games, and that’s it," Westbrook said. "The ultimate goal is to win games. That’s all I can do. Go out and compete and make sure we try to win games."

Having adjusted his role several times since joining the Clippers, Westbrook has been the selfless leader this team needed. Now making his biggest sacrifice since signing with the Clippers, Westbrook is ready to do whatever is needed to win games.

With the Clippers have won two-straight, the team will look to keep this momentum going.
