Russell Westbrook has made history several times throughout his Hall-of-Fame career, setting numerous records since entering the league. With multiple scoring titles, assist titles, and an MVP on his résumé, Westbrook is truly one of the most accomplished players in league history.

While Westbrook is no longer averaging a triple-double or leading the league in scoring, he is still finding ways to set new records. Finishing the 2022-23 season averaging 15.9 points per game, 7.5 assists per game, and 5.8 rebounds per game, Westbrook became the first player in NBA history to ever average at least 15/7/5 in less than 30 minutes per game.

Averaging just 28.7 minutes per game with the Lakers, Westbrook averaged 30.2 minutes per game with the Clippers, which averaged out to 29.1 minutes per game on the season. This level of statistical production in just 29 minutes per game had never been done before, but Westbrook made it happen this year.

While there is more work to be done for Westbrook and the Clippers as they are set to enter a first round match up with the Phoenix Suns, the partnership has absolutely been a success so far. Westbrook has provided the team with increased energy, athleticism, and leadership, which are areas the team has lacked in all season. Also shooting the ball much better with the Clippers, Westbrook seems to have found his touch from both inside and beyond the three-point line.
