The LA Clippers defeated the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night, and got their first look at rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama. Clippers guard Russell Westbrook was asked about Wembanyama, and said, "You know, he’s one of a kind. As we all know. He’s going to get better each and every year during the season, as long as keeps focused and keeps improving his game, but he’s going to be fine."

On Wembanyama's length, Westbrook added, “He wasn’t on me much, but you know it's there. That’s all you need to know."

While Westbrook didn't line up with Wembanyama much, the rookie's length is always in the minds of offensive players. There were a few times when different Clippers players thought twice about driving into the paint, knowing Wembanyama was there.

It wasn't a great game for Wembanyama and the Spurs, but it's clear why so many people are exciting about the rookie big man. Even Wembanyama's pregame warmup routine drew a crowd of fans and media members, as the rookie showed off his ball-handling and shooting ability.

The Clippers took care of business against San Antonio on Sunday night, winning by 40 points to improve to 2-1 on the season. LA will now take on the Magic and Lakers in a back to back set beginning on Tuesday night at home vs. Orlando.
