Portland Trail Blazers rookie Scoot Henderson is set to make his NBA debut vs. the LA Clippers on Wednesday night. The third-overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft is not listed on the injury report, and is expected to play in this highly anticipated game.

Henderson will lead a Trail Blazers team that finally transitioned away from the Damian Lillard era this offseason. Giving Henderson the keys after parting with the face of their franchise, the Trail Blazers believe in what the talented young guard to do, and are looking forward to his debut.

The Clippers will be a tough test for Henderson, as they have a lot of length on the perimeter that they will throw at him. With Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers have a few different options for Henderson, so it will be interesting to see how they start on him.

The Trail Blazers are hoping to remain somewhat competitive this season, as Henderson is the type of player they feel can help them transition from a player like Lillard into a new era. While a playoff appearance in the Western Conference would be a tall task for this Trail Blazers team, that is always the hope beginning each season, and cannot be ruled out until the games are played.

The Clippers and Trail Blazers will tip-off at 7:30 PM PST on Wednesday night.
