The LA Clippers are practicing on Sunday morning, and Kawhi Leonard will be a full participant. Ty Lue spoke with the media prior to practice, and said Leonard would practice fully for the first time since his left hip contusion sidelined him.

While Lue was not able to reveal whether or not Leonard will play in Monday night's game vs. the Miami Heat, the Clippers head coach said it's a good sign that Leonard is able to practice fully.

This is a big injury development for Leonard, and certainly the biggest piece of news that has come from the team since the injury was first sustained. The Clippers have gone 2-2 in the four games Leonard has missed, and are set to begin a very difficult stretch of games.

Beginning with Monday's contest vs. Miami, the Clippers' next eight games will come against the Suns, Pelicans, Lakers, Suns (again), Raptors, Grizzles, Timberwolves, and Thunder. Having Leonard healthy and available for this stretch would be huge, because while the Clippers have enough to compete on a nightly basis when Leonard is out, they also know they need their best player in order to reach the heights they feel they can reach.

Practicing fully on Sunday, Leonard seems to be nearing a return, which is great news for the Clippers as they look to build off their great month of December.
