San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich took the public address microphone during Wednesday night's game to tell fans to stop booing while LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard was at the free throw line. Leonard has been heavily booed by Spurs fans since his departure, and it's something Popovich wants to see stop.

When asked about this moment after the game, Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama said, "My reaction was just I had no reaction. It was during the game. Looking back, it was an interesting moment, but nothing to make noise about. It was definitely not a big deal to me."

Leonard also downplayed the moment for the most part, saying during his on-court interview, "I was focused. I didn't know if it was him or not. I was at the free throw line, but they're a very classy organization, and I'm pretty sure he wants to keep it that way."

The Clippers star did give a more detailed answer about Spurs fans during his media availability in the locker room after the game, adding, "If I don’t have a Spurs jersey on they’re probably gonna boo me for the rest of my career, but it is what it is. Like I said, they’re one of the best fans in the league. They're very competitive. Once I step on this basketball court out here they're gonna show that they're going for the other side. When I’m on the streets or going into restaurants they show love, so it is what it is."

People feel different ways about Popovich doing what he did, but it's clear the Spurs head coach feels strongly about the way Leonard gets booed in San Antonio.
