San Antonio Spurs fans boo Kawhi Leonard aggressively every time he touches the ball, and have been doing so since he was traded. While Leonard helped deliver a championship to San Antonio, winning Finals MVP in 2014, his divorce with the organization was not a smooth one. This has resulted in the booing every time he plays in San Antonio, but it's something Leonard's former coach Gregg Popovich wants to see stop.

While Leonard was at the free throw line in the second quarter of Wednesday night's game, Popovich grabbed the public address microphone and told fans to stop booing. His message was met with louder boos, which intensified every time Leonard touched the ball after that moment.

Leonard was asked about the boos he receives in San Antonio prior to Monday night's game vs. the Spurs, and said while he hears them, he also hears cheers as well. Leonard added that Spurs fans show him love out in San Antonio as well, which is something he appreciates.

This was certainly not something that happens very often, but Popovich clearly felt strongly about the way Spurs fans had been directing their booing at Leonard, and told them to stop. Popovich and Leonard have maintained a positive relationship since their time together, which is something the LA Clippers star has talked about several times over the last few seasons.
