Prospect Profile

After spending three seasons at Houston, Mark entered the 2023 NBA Draft but opted to drop out and spend one more year at the college level while transferring to Arkansas. Although he spent three years with the Cougars, his sophomore campaign was cut short due to a season-ending injury. Regardless, he got back on track last season and was a starter on a very good Houston team.

One thing that will be a disadvantage for Mark ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft is his age. He will turn 23 before the start of his rookie season if he were to enter the league in the 2024-25 campaign.

In terms of his game, Mark is an off-ball guard with a high motor. He makes hustle plays and is a really good rebounder for his position. He has a strong frame and really uses it to his advantage on both ends. Mark is disruptive in passing lanes on the defensive end and gives good effort. Similar to what he is at the college level, he will almost certainly be a role player in the NBA.

If Mark is going to increase his draft stock with the Razorbacks, it’s all about efficiency on offense. He has shot less than 40% from the floor, below 45% from inside the arc and right at 30% from deep in his career. Especially given he won’t be a volume shooter at the NBA level, Mark will need to make the most of his looks.

Despite sending several key players to the NBA from last season, Arkansas should still be very talented in the upcoming campaign. Mark will have the chance to play a similar role to Ricky Council last season, which would be a great opportunity.
