Prospect Profile

Boasting the perfect combination of length and athleticism, Dual is a combo guard that has tremendous upside.

Although he’s best with the ball in his hands, he has a score first mentality. If he’s going to become a full-time lead guard, his decision making and willingness to put make the right plays will be important. While he can almost always get a shot off, it’s about generating the best shot for him or a teammate. As such, Dual is more of a shooting guard that has both dribble moves and explosive quickness that allows him to be an extremely effective scorer off the bounce. With that in mind, he lacks strength which does limit him at times as a driver.

Dual is a streaky shooter, but if that becomes more consistent his overall offensive game will be lethal. The Providence freshman boasts a very advanced package of moves and can make tough shots, but will need to get better at keeping things simple and efficient.

On the defensive end, Dual has a ton of upside if he can fill out. He needs to get stronger, but is already disruptive and has a nose for the ball. The 6-foot-5 guard defends the point of attack well but is also lethal off the ball in passing lanes with his quickness and length. He has quick hands, a high motor and good instincts on that end, but could be bullied by stronger guards at the higher levels as time goes on.

The four-star prospect was a quick riser over the past year that went from limited college exposure to a huge recruit with tons of interest. He attended the Nike Hoop Summit and played for the World Team in 2023 as he continued to showcase his improvements. This season at Providence, Dual will be playing next to Bryce Hopkins who is also a future NBA talent.

Dual is overall extremely raw, so don’t be surprised if his draft stock rises even more late in the season. He could take time to adjust to the college game, but should definitely hit his stride based on what we’ve seen of late.
