The NBA world was shocked when the Memphis Grizzlies announced that Steven Adams would miss the entire season. It seemed like he was progressing for a return, but instead, the exact opposite happened. Players are offering their support to Adams, even ones not on the Memphis Grizzlies.

Patrick Beverley went on Twitter to express his support and prayers for Adams today following the announcement yesterday.

"πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸΎ for Big Steve Adams," BeverleyΒ  Get well and God speed my boyyyyy."

Steven Adams has not played in a basketball game since January 22, 2023, he only played in 42 games last season. Throughout the entire season, it seemed as if there was a chance for Adams to return because the injury was shrouded in mystery, but unfortunately, he never returned.Β

While the Memphis Grizzlies survived the regular season without Steven Adams, they desperately missed him against the Los Angeles Lakers in the playoffs. Time after time, the team struggled to grab rebounds when Adams is one of the best rebounders in the NBA. Against teams with a superior size like the Lakers, the Memphis Grizzlies will likely struggle against in the playoffs again.

The season isn't starting kindly for the Memphis Grizzlies. The team will be missing Ja Morant, Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke for a big portion of the year. With that mind, a lot falls on the shoulders of Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, and Marcus Smart.
