The Memphis Grizzlies are facing the Milwaukee Bucks in preseason action on Friday evening, and they will get a look at newly acquired star point guard Damian Lillard. It was announced by Jim Owczarski of Milwaukee News Guild that Lillard will suit up and play in this game, which will be a tough test for Memphis in this preseason finale.

The Bucks acquired Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this offseason, and have been working him into their system throughout training camp and the preseason. The duo of Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo projects to be one of the best duos in the NBA, and is widely favored to win the Eastern Conference.

While the preseason is of course mostly inconsequential, these are still quality reps for the Grizzlies in preparation for the regular season. Lillard is one of the toughest covers in the entire NBA, and his pairing alongside Antetokounmpo is going to make him that much more difficult to slow down.

There is of course not much to take away from these preseason games, but the final game of the preseason schedule is often an opportunity for teams to ramp up a bit in preparation for the new season. Getting a look at Lillard and the Bucks on Friday night, the Grizzlies will look to build good habits and come out of this game with everyone healthy.
