It took some time, but Dillon Brooks finally opened up about all the trash talking he did toward LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.

After refusing to speak to media multilple times during the NBA Playoffs, Brooks gave an exit interview where he was asked about the trash talk.

"I don't regret it," Brooks said during exit interviews. "I'm a competitor. I compete. I don't think it got LeBron geeked up. He's back in the playoffs. It's been a little while, so I think he was ready to play."

One thing Brooks was open to admitting was that the Los Angeles Lakers were a better team than the Memphis Grizzlies. Yes, the Grizzlies were an injured team, but Brooks gave his opponents their due.

"And overall, we just got beat by a better team. A bigger team. Guys that have their whole team, the pieces there."

At this point, it seems like the trash talking is just who Dillon Brooks is now. He does not regret talking trash towards LeBron James, does not regret poking the bear, and open admits to not changing.

"That's who I am and that's what I'm going to be," Brooks said. "At the end of the day, it's just competition. It's competing. And most people are scared to compete, and that's why they get rattled or feel some type of way when I play against them. It's because I'm trying to compete at the highest level I can, and that's the only way that I got into this league... So, I'm not going to change. I'm going to keep doing what I do and get better."

While it's fine that Dillon Brooks won't change his style of play, he needs to improve his play on the court to back it up.
