Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks is never hesitant to speak his mind and call out opponents. With the Grizzlies set to play the winner of Tuesday night's play-in game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves, Brooks has already gone on the record saying he wants LeBron and the Lakers.

Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Brooks said, "The legacy is there. First time back in the playoffs, knock him out right away in the first round. It’ll test us good. They got good pieces, good players, and that’ll be a good first round matchup for us."

Former Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma, who won a championship with LeBron James in 2020, reacted to Brooks' comments with this Tweet:

If the Lakers win on Tuesday night, Brooks and the Grizzlies will take on LeBron and the Lakers in round one. The Lakers would certainly not be an ordinary 7th seed, having LeBron James and Anthony Davis on their side. Memphis would be tested, but they are a confident group that believes they can beat anybody. With championship aspirations, Brooks and the Grizzlies are ready for LeBron and the Lakers if it plays out that way.

As for the Lakers, it has been a wild season, but they have begun hitting their stride at the right time. If they entered a series with Memphis, they would be confident in their ability to win as well.
