Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves has emerged as a high level role player, but former Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons believes he his hit his peak. Speaking recently on Run it Back FanDuel TV, Parsons was complimentary of what Reaves can do, but said he's not a player that is going to get exponentially better than what he is right now.

"I love Austin Reaves, and his ceiling is exactly what he's doing right now," Parsons said. "I think his ceiling is being consistent 15/5/5. He's not a player that's gonna continue to exponentially get better. It's not like the potential is through the roof with him. He is what he is, he's a great contributor, he's a solid role player, he's gonna have nights where he's gonna go off and do what he does in the fourth quarter, he's gonna close games for them, but you can't expect that from Austin Reaves. That's not fair."

These comments were controversial, since many believe Reaves can become a star-level player, but it seemed Parsons was trying to tame some of the expectations being placed on the young Lakers guard. For Parsons, he feels it's unfair for Reaves to have the expectations he now has after emerging as a key contributor for the Lakers, and wants to make it known that he feels the starting guard has mostly hit his peak.
