Memphis Grizzlies star Desmond Bane recently made an appearance at the Memphis Football game, and received some very high praise from head coach Ryan Silverfield.

"Anybody who has ever been around Demsond Bane knows what a gentleman, what a class act, and tremendous young man [he is]," Silverfield said. "... Him and I developed a relationship, he's been around our program, he's watched our guys work out in the summer, he's come and hung out. All he wants to do is just be around... Des is the type of person you wants around your guys."

Bane saw these comments on Twitter, and shared his reaction with this response:

Bane has not only emerged as a star on the court for the Grizzlies, but he has become a role model and leader in the community. A special player and person, Bane was rewarded with a large contract extension this offseason, and will be in Memphis for years to come.

Sports teams in the same city connecting with each other is always cool to see, especially when it's a pro team showing love to a college team. Sports are big in Memphis, and the Grizzlies are helping lead that charge. For Memphis football, they have a solid role model and supporter around them in Desmond Bane, and head coach Ryan Silverfield showed his appreciation for the Grizzlies star.
