With reports circulating that the Memphis Grizzlies will not be re-signing Dillon Brooks, his teammate Desmond Bane was asked for his reaction to that news during an alternate broadcast of Game 3 between the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets.

"We all got a bunch of love for Dillon," Bane said. "He's one of the first guys in, last guys to leave. I don't think it's hard to see what type of competitor he is, and what type of effort he lays out on the line every night. Things like this happen. It's part of the business. There ain't no telling whether he'll be back with us, or with another team in the future. But regardless of whatever happens, I wish him the best... Whatever happens for him, I'll be cheering - hopefully it's with us, but if not I'll be rooting for him as long as he's not in the Western Conference."

From Bane's comments, it's clear that Brooks still has love from his Memphis teammates, even if his time with the Grizzlies has come to an end. As Bane mentioned, there is no telling if Brooks will in fact be gone this summer; however, Bane did acknowledge that his teammate could end up somewhere else.

Brooks has spent the entirety of his NBA career with the Grizzlies, and may be moving on in free agency this offseason.
