Not interested in a back-and-forth with Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James told reporters on Friday that he did not have a response to Brooks’ recent comments. When asked about the impact of trash talk, James said, “The game is won in between the four lines. Always has. Always will be.” At the end of his media availability, James added, “I’m not here for the bullsh—t. I’m ready to play.”

Typically disinterested in back-and-forth dialogue through the media, James opted to pretty much ignore what Brooks had to say after Game 2. For reference, after the Grizzlies defeated LA on Wednesday, Brooks said of James, “I don't care, he's old. I was waiting for that. I was expecting him to do that Game 4, Game 5. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. He should've been saying that earlier on. But, you know, I poke bears. I don't respect no one until they come and give me 40 [points]."

While James did not have a response to this, it is hard to imagine it won’t be something on his mind entering Game 3. With the series tied 1-1, this will be a crucial matchup between the Lakers and Grizzlies on Saturday night. Looking to regain home court advantage, the Grizzlies need to steal one in LA.
