Grizzlies vs. Lakers Full Game 5 Injury Report

The Memphis Grizzlies are looking to avoid elimination vs. the Lakers

The Memphis Grizzlies have been pushed to the brink of elimination, as they are headed home for Game 5 down 3-1 to the Los Angeles Lakers. The Grizzlies do have home court advantage in this series, which means a potential Game 7 would be at home; however, that is of course irrelevant if Memphis cannot win both of the next two games.

The Grizzlies have looked overmatched by the Lakers for much of the series, as their overall execution has been poor. A team that was dominant for the majority of the regular season, Memphis has looked unready for playoff basketball, as much of their regular season success has not been replicated so far in the playoffs.

Entering this elimination game, the Grizzlies will be without only Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, and Jake LaRavia. The Lakers will likely be fully-healthy, as LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Dennis Schroder are all listed as probable.

Looking to head back to Los Angeles with a series win, as opposed to for a Game 6, the Lakers are hoping to wrap this up tonight. If the Grizzlies were able to grab a victory, there would be an increased level of optimism that they could pull this off. 3-1 comebacks are incredibly rare for a reason, which is something the Grizzlies know, but this is a confident young group that is going to fight until they are eliminated.

Game 5 between the Lakers and Grizzlies will tip-off at 4:30 PM PST in Memphis
