Kyrie Irving's Final Status Revealed for Grizzlies vs Mavericks
The Memphis Grizzlies have lucked out against the Dallas Mavericks today. It's been officially revealed that Kyrie Irving has been downgraded from questionable to out with right foot soreness.
Both Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic are now out against the Grizzlies, who are shorthanded in their own right without numerous players. The Grizzlies are still missing Ja Morant, Steven Adams, and Brandon Clarke. Just because the Mavericks don't have either star player, it doesn't mean this game will be a cakewalk for the Grizzlies. Tim Hardaway Jr. has proven that he can be an offensive explosion for the Mavericks at times, and Christian Wood is still one of the best offensive players off the bench.
The Grizzlies should expect the Dallas Mavericks to shoot a plethora of threes with the absences of Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic. Many times, when teams like the Mavericks or Warriors are shorthanded, they find themselves upping the number of threes they shoot in a game to try and catch a team off guard.
This is an important game for both teams in the standings, with it being more important for the Mavericks, so fans should expect a dogfight between these two teams. If the Dallas Mavericks lose this game, they will fall back down to being a play-in team, which is something every team wants to avoid.
The Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks tipoff at 8:00 pm ET tonight.
