LeBron James Shares Strong Message for Dillon Brooks and Memphis Grizzlies
After eliminating the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James shared a message on Twitter that seemed to be a direct shot at Dillon Brooks. Quoting Jay-Z lyrics, James shared this Tweet on Saturday morning:
Brooks had a lot to say about James before the series and after the Grizzlies won Game 2, but went completely silent after that, skipping postgame media multiple times, including after the Grizzlies were eliminated.
For context, Brooks said this about James after Game 2:
"I don't care, he's old. I was waiting for that. I was expected him to do that Game 4, Game 5. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul. He should've been saying that earlier on. But, you know, I poke bears. I don't respect no one until they come and give me 40 [points]."
These comments came after Brooks said this about James before the series:
"The legacy is there. First time back in the playoffs, knock him out right away in the first round. It'll test us good. They got good pieces, good players, and that'll be a good first round matchup for us."
Now eliminated, Brooks has gone silent, and James is getting the last laugh. With some Jay-Z lyrics on Twitter, James made it clear that he heard the noise from Brooks and the Grizzlies.
