Major Development in Ja Morant's Friend's Criminal Charges Revealed
There have been a couple new developments recently on the incident involving Ja Morant, Davonte Pack, and Joshua Holloway that occurred last summer. While most of the details of that incident have been public for a while, new developments on the criminal and civil side of things have happened recently, including the most recent news that Morant's friend Davonte Pack had his assault charges dropped.
This news was reported by Lucas Finton of The Memphis Commercial Appeal, who wrote in an article on Tuesday, "Davonte Pack, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant's close friend, had his misdemeanor assault charge dropped Tuesday morning, ending the criminal case tied to punching a teen at Morant's house in July 2022. An arrest warrant for Pack was issued on July 10 this year, just under a year after an altercation during a pickup basketball game between Pack, Morant and a teenage basketball player named Joshua Holloway."
While lawsuits on both sides remain, there are now no longer assault charges for Pack or Morant - who never had criminal charges filed against him in the first place. Morant and his lawyers were also recently granted permission to argue self defense in the lawsuit against the Memphis Grizzlies star, which was the other big recent development in this entire situation.
As the situation evolves, Morant seems closer to putting it all behind him.
