Memphis Grizzlies Legend Facing Legal Trouble
Memphis Grizzlies legend Tony Allen plead guilty in a health care fraud case, and faces potential legal trouble for his involvement. The case involves 18 former NBA players, multiple of which have also plead guilty for their involvement.
While Allen faces potential legal trouble, Pete Brush of Law360 stated that New York U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Moses concluded that Allen has already repaid the money back, which means he will not face certain penalties he would have been looking at otherwise.
Allen was recently in the media, speaking on the Ja Morant gun incident with NBA legend Kevin Garnett. In that episode, Allen said, "I'll definitely tell [Morant] the guns are not one of those things you play with. I just think if he got that fear of holding a gun, he should be in much need of security... You got to be properly planning in your movements... When you're out and about man, and you definitely think you need a gun or you need places to go that you need a gun, you might not need to be going to those places. I say that from experience."
Now facing some legal trouble, Allen has plead guilty for his involvement in a health care fraud case; however, he has reportedly paid the money back which should allow him to avoid certain penalties he may have been looking at.
