The Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks face off in a game that both teams need to win, but both teams are also shorthanded.

First and foremost, the Grizzlies will continue to remain without Ja Morant due to his suspension. Steven Adams remains out with a right knee PCL strain, Brandon Clarke is out with a left Achilles tear, Chandler Kennedy is out on a G League assignment, Jake LaRavia is out on a G League assignment, Kenneth Lofton Jr. is out on a G League two way, and Vince Williams Jr. is out with right shoulder soreness.

The Dallas Mavericks have their own share of injuries, most notably Luka Doncic; Luka is out with a left thigh strain. Additionally, Reggie Bullock is probable with a right quadricep contusion, Kyrie Irving is questionable with right foot soreness, and Javale McGee is probable with a right ankle sprain. A.J. Lawson is out on a G League two way.

If the Dallas Mavericks beat the Grizzlies and the Clippers lose to the Knicks, the Mavericks will have sole possession of the 5th seed. If the Memphis Grizzlies win tonight, they'll be back in the 2nd seed. If the Grizzlies lose, they'll be only two games away from the 4th seed. It's truly the wild, wild, west. The Mavericks should come out with some desperation since they want to avoid the play-in tournament.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks tipoff at 8:00 pm ET tonight.
