Memphis Grizzlies vs Indiana Pacers Injury Report Revealed
It's day one of the preseason and the Memphis Grizzlies will already be missing some big names to start the year off against the Indiana Pacers.
The Grizzlies will be missing Marcus Smart due to minor abdominal soreness, Brandon Clarke due to Achilles surgery recovery, and Ja Morant due to a 25-game suspension. As it stands, Steven Adams is not listed on the injury report, but it remains to be seen if that stays true as the day progresses. The Memphis Grizzlies will heavily rely on Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. with the absences of their star players.
The Indiana Pacers have two players listed as day-to-day on their injury report: Andrew Nembhad is out with a neck/kidney stone, and T.J. McConnell is day-to-day due to an ankle injury. On Thursday, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle stated that McConnell did well in practice. What that means for a game on Sunday remains to be seen.
It would have been nice to see an early preview of what Marcus Smart would look like on the Memphis Grizzlies, but it seems as though fans will have to wait until potentially the regular season to see that. Make no mistake though, Marcus Smart on the Memphis Grizzlies is a dangerous fit that almost everyone in the league knows to be scared of. Fortunately for the Indiana Pacers, it's one they don't have to worry about right now.
