With so many young stars in the NBA, the league will have several marketable and dominant players to represent the next decade of basketball once the current collection of superstars moves on. While that transition is always gradual, as veteran superstars like Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and others are still perennial All-Stars/All-NBA level players, the next generation has already arrived in many ways.

While the "face of the NBA" is always a subjective discussion, it's one that many like to debate. According to NBA legend Gilbert Arenas, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is the best equipped to follow LeBron James as the NBA's face.

"The only person who has the charisma, the style, is the one who's getting in trouble. It's Ja Morant," Arenas said. "He's the only who has the style of play that will put people in the seats... He might not be mentally ready."

This take from Arenas is not shocking due to his assessment of Morant's game, but rather his dismissiveness towards the NBA's other young stars. While Morant is undoubtedly exciting, calling him the only young player who has the style of play to put people in the seats is indeed a shocking statement.

As Arenas mentioned, Morant may not want to be the face of the league, but the Grizzlies star does have the talent and charisma it takes to represent the NBA in that way.
