New Shocking Details of Ja Morant Gun Video Incident
Still away from the team for his actions in Colorado, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has yet to receive an official punishment from the NBA. It is unclear if the league will suspend the star guard for flashing a gun during an Instagram live video, but Morant currently remains away from the Grizzlies regardless.
Some new shocking details of Morant's actions in Colorado were recently uncovered by The New York Post. In addition to photos of Morant at Shotgun Willie's in Glendale, Colorado, details of Morant's actions while in the strip club were reported by The Post as well.
According to employees at the venue, Morant spent at least $50,000 during his two appearances at Shotgun Willie's. In one photo of Morant, the floor of the room he was in could be seen covered in cash, which reportedly eclipsed $50,000.
Deborah Dunafon, the majority owner of Shotgun Willie’s, issued a statement on Morant to The Post, saying, "This kid, real young, was exceptionally respectful, and sweet and he did not drink [on his second visit]. We’ve had [Denver] Nuggets and Broncos… come in and pitch quarters at the girls, be disrespectful and nasty. He’s marvelous."
As for Morant's actions with the gun, The Post reported that some dancers were "absolutely terrified" of Morant's gun, and complaints were made amongst the dancers. That said, the police have investigated the incident, and determined there was insufficient evidence to charge the star guard with a crime.
